The lance-shaped leaves of the Anthurium are widely regarded as the plant's most attractive feature (aside from it's bright flowers of course)

On average, these plants grow to be 2 feet tall.

These plants are toxic to humans and pets, and should never be ingested under any circumstances.

CARE GUIDE

  • Light
    • This plant prefers bright, indirect sunlight. If placing indoors, a southern facing window is optimal.
  • Water
    • Regularly water the plant during the summer season, but limit to once every couple of days during the winter.
  • Temperature
    • Anything between 65° F to 75° is optimal, the warmer the better. 
  • Humidity
    • Medium to high levels of humidity allow this plant to thrive
  • Soil
    • Rich, bark/peat based soils that are lightweight are optimal. It should be able to retain moisture, but not hold water.
  • Fertilizer
    • Give a diluted liquid fertilizer twice a month from spring through summer.
  • Re-potting
    • When the roots appear to have filled the bottom of the pot, it is time to upgrade.
