Foliage
Though it can sometimes look a little messy, the Ming Aralia contains several leaflet clusters that look like something you'd find on a much higher maintanence plant.
Height
On average, these plants grow to be 6 to 7 feet tall.
Toxicity
These plants are mildly toxic to humans and pets, and should never be ingested under any circumstances.
CARE GUIDE
- Light
- This plant prefers bright, indirect sunlight. If placing indoors, a southern facing window is optimal.
- Water
- Regularly water the plant, keeping it moist during growth season. In the winter, switch to watering every other week.
- Temperature
- Anything between 60° F to 85° is optimal, the warmer the better.
- Humidity
- Any level of humidity will allow the plant to thrive.
- Soil
- Rich, bark/peat based soils that are lightweight are optimal. It should be able to retain moisture, but not hold water.
- Fertilizer
- Applying a liquid growth fertilizer during growth period.
- Re-potting
- Rarely needs repotting, however when done make sure the pot is no more than two inches greater than the old pot.
