How can we help?
The questions we actually get asked, answered plainly. Legal terms and policies live in the footer.
Orders and shipping
How much is shipping?
Shipping is free on orders over $75. Below that, the cost is calculated at checkout based on where the box is going.
When will my order arrive?
Orders leave our greenhouse in Jurupa Valley and ship nationwide. You will get tracking by email as soon as the box is on its way.
Can I change or cancel my order?
If it has not shipped yet, message us and we will sort it. Once a plant is packed and moving we cannot pull it back.
Do you ship to my state?
We ship across the United States. Some states restrict certain plants at the agricultural border; if anything in your order is affected we will contact you before shipping.
Arrival and damage
My plant arrived damaged, what do I do?
Tell us within 48 hours of delivery and we will make it right. Send a photo of the plant as it came out of the box, before repotting.
What are the heat packs in my box?
A heat pack keeps a tropical plant above its safe temperature while it travels through cold weather. We add them when the forecast on your route calls for it. They are safe to throw away once you unbox.
Is my plant guaranteed against cold damage?
Only orders shipped with a heat pack and winter insulation are guaranteed against cold damage. If you are ordering into a cold week, do not skip the heat pack.
It looks a bit tired after unboxing. Is that normal?
Some droop or a yellow lower leaf after several days in a dark box is normal and usually resolves in a week. Give it light and leave it alone before deciding anything is wrong. If it looks worse than tired, message us inside the 48-hour window.
Returns and refunds
Can I return a plant?
Living plants are not returnable. If something arrives wrong we resolve it with a replacement or an exchange rather than a return.
What do I need for a claim?
A message within 48 hours of delivery and a photo of the plant in its original nursery pot. Claims on plants that have already been repotted cannot be assessed, because repotting is itself a common cause of shock.
Do you refund shipping?
Shipping costs are not refunded once a box has travelled. If we got the order wrong, we cover the cost of putting it right.
Plant care
My plant just arrived. What do I do first?
Unbox it, put it somewhere with good indirect light, and check whether the soil is dry before watering. Do not repot it and do not fertilise it in the first couple of weeks — let it settle first.
Should I repot it right away?
No. Wait at least two to four weeks. Repotting on arrival stacks a second shock on top of shipping, and it also voids an arrival claim.
How often should I water it?
There is no universal schedule, and any shop that gives you one is guessing. Water when the top of the soil is dry for that plant in your room. Ask us about a specific plant and we will tell you what it does for us on the bench.
Visiting and local
Can I visit the greenhouse?
Once a month, at our Leaves & Lattes event in Jurupa Valley. Admission is free and the confirmed date and address go out before each one.
Do you offer local pickup or delivery?
Yes. Local pickup and local delivery are both available in the Jurupa Valley area alongside nationwide shipping.
Still stuck?
The same people who grew your plant answer the messages. Tell us what happened and we will sort it.
